The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Board (UPSOSB) is an autonomous board running under the auspices of Open Schooling of Uttar Pradesh Government’s Education Department (Following the rules and regulations of The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Board Act,2008 U.P Act No. 27 of 2008- As Passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature Dated-29 August 2008). UPSOSB provides educational opportunities to persons like you, who wish to study further and qualify for a better tomorrow. The mission of UPSOSB is to provide education to all with special concern to school girls and women, rural youth, working men and women who because of one or the other reason could not continue their education with the formal system.

The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Board UPSOSB has been established to work as bridge between the Govt. and Rural/Backward Classes of India. as an Autonomous Body, for the Promulgation and dissemination of Education at State & National level.

With a view to bring rapid transformation in rural outreach, Uttar Pradesh State Open school Board (UPSOSB) wants to be helping hand of Government. We are committed to bridge the gap and provide education to SC/ST/OBC/General/Dropouts/Over Aged and other weaker, marginal and deprived sections of society, to bring them under the fold of mainstream

To Promote or uplift the downtrodden and disadvantaged groups, deprived sections of society and women irrespective of caste, creed, color, religion or language in all aspects such as social, Cultural, health educational, economical and make them self dependent by alleviating poverty eradicating illiteracy

The UPSOSB offers admission to courses at an affordable cost without compromising the quality of education imparted. This gives opportunities to students/ learners to move directly to the employment sector or higher education level.
